I believe you can never have enough information, especially for one of the biggest moments in your life. Education is power. If this is your first baby, why not attend your class and then decide whether you would like some extra support as your baby's birth day approaches? You might find in those final weeks that you have some new feelings/fears/concerns you need to address or even if you just need some extra encouragement.
Please keep in mind that any medical related information discussed during our sessions is based on evidence based research and kept very brief, more so giving you an overview. This means you may benefit from attending a hospital run antenatal class to find out more information regarding hospital procedures, medical terms and procedures and also speak with midwives/obstetrician who may be present on the day/night.
There may be a lot of topics that aren't traditionally covered in your class that we will cover in our sessions (please refer to services and packages page).
No matter how you choose to give birth, all of the prep work is still very much the same. We just go into a little more detail regarding your belly birth!
Support during your pregnancy and beyond is vital. Positive mindset, visualisation, breathing techniques, self care reminders/activities, recovery tips and postnatal planning and visits (the list goes on) are just some of the ways I can support you.
I would LOVE to be at every birth, witnessing just how incredible and strong you all are!! While I am also in the season of young children, I am not in the position to offer labour support at this time (due to the nature of needing to be on call). I aim to provide this service in the future. However, I aim to provide this wonderful service in the future. Please feel free to still send me a message if you are interested as I may be able to assist you depending on your individual circumstances such as planned induction or scheduled caesarean section.
MY GOAL is to prepare you and your partner/support person to work as a team, trust and listen to your body, use the skills and knowledge you have gained in your birth preparation sessions. I want to be the voice in your head when you are riding your wave! "Now, what did Teeks suggest might help?"
I am so passionate about ensuring women feel supported, and don't get me wrong I loveeeee babies, but my main focus is ensure that women and their partners feel supported during pregnancy, prepared for birth and know the importance of postpartum planning.

Depending on the package/ service you choose, it would be ideal to start planning for your birth in the 2nd trimester (but there really isn't any perfect timeframe). If you are keen to start earlier, great! I do recommend a session together in the second trimester (mindset and establishing what your birth wishes are) and then another around the third trimester 34/35 week or as close to your baby's birth date. This will be more of the labour prep side, practical, comfort techniques and partner work. Keeps everything fresh in your mind!
Yes, depending on the package/service you choose we can discuss a payment plan.
This is completely up to you. Depending on the service you choose, I have some favourite coffee shops where we can find a quiet spot. Or, if you would like this in the comfort of your own home (which would suit the birth preparation & postnatal support package) we can make that happen too. We can have our obligation free chat first and discuss from there.
